Short Biography
Deng Yu is an Assistant Professor at School of Artificial Intelligence, Shandong University (SDU). Previously, he was a post-doc researcher at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), working with Prof. Miu-Ling Lam and Prof. Manfred Lau, respectively. Before that, he received his PhD in Creative Media from City University of Hong Kong (CityU), under the supervision of Prof. Hongbo Fu and Prof. Manfred Lau (co-supervisor).During his PhD study, he visited Prof. Youyi Zheng at State Key Lab of CAD & CG, Zhejiang University (ZJU), from 2019 to 2020 and Prof. Lin Gao at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), from the spring to summer of 2022.
His current research interests lie primarily in Computer Graphics, especially in Spatial Artifical Intelligence, AIGC, Sketch-based Image Synthesis and 3D Modeling, and 3D Fabrication.
